Door Knob Wall Shield

Sometimes you have a need for something, but all the options seem so ugly. All the doors in our house open right into a wall. In the girls' areas I have super cute painted wood cutouts that look adorable. That just didn't seem like it was going to work in my Master Bedroom. I ordered a wall shield, but they are all just so ugly so I decided to improve it.

Supplied needed to beautify. The contact paper is left over from the nightstand drawers

All covered up

The awesome dent my girls have already made on my freshly painted wall

Definitely better than an ugly ivory blob on the wall. :)

Nightstand

Slowly but surely our Master Bedroom is coming together. The bed and nightstand came in the mail today from Overstock.com. I came home to 4 massive boxes on my porch. The largest was 70lbs. It was super fun trying to get it into the garage. I decided to start with the nightstand. Mostly because the 3 seperate boxes that the bed came in seemed really intimidating.

Why does furniture come in so many pieces?

The finished product. In place and ready for the bed.

I added black and white contact paper to the drawer bottoms before I put it together. It keeps with the black and white theme of the room and looks si much better than the laminate bottom it comes with.
