GYCT Designs Pattern Review - Seaside Summer Top & Dress

The newest pattern by Chelsea from Get Your Crap Together is the Seaside Summer Top & Dress. It's a great pattern for the summer but it is also a great layering piece.

Some Perks of the pattern:
  • Easy for little one to dress themselves
  • No button, snaps, or zippers
  • 4 different sleeve and 2 finished lengths provided
  • Goes from 3months to a size 8
  • Great pattern for boys and girls
  • Can be made out of woven and knit fabrics
I made the short sleeve dress in a size 5 for my 4 year old daughter. The fit was great and the end result was a win. **The length has been lengthened to the knees in the final version.**
My littlest princess is also a HUGE super hero fan. She requested this awesome fabric that I found at Walmart in a 2-yard pre-cut package for around $7.
And of course the Hulk had to join up for pictures.
Here's my sassy girl hamming it up for the camera.
Here is a close up of the front of the Top/Dress. There is a cutout in front. This allows this dress to be made out of woven fabric and fit over the head without a closure.
This is the back of the dress with the sash option. As you can see there is elastic in the back portion of the sash to give it a better fit.

If you are looking for a great beginner dress or just a great looking quick sew, this is the dress/top for you.

  1. Love that you made this out of superhero fabric. I bet she is going to get lots of compliments and inquires of where someone could buy their own!
