Whimsy Couture Ruffled Peasant Dress - Pattern Review

I recently has the opportunity to pattern test the Ruffled Peasant Dress from Whimsy Couture. I absolutely love the patterns she created and this one is no exception.

I love to seach the Red Tag area at Joann when they are running their 50% off sales. I stock up on adorable prints for those moments when you want to sew and don't feel like running to the store. The elephant material is a very this courduroy and was Abby's choice. I figure if she likes the print then she is more likely to wear what I make.

I will definitely be making more of these easy dresses for both my girls this summer.

The day we took our pictures what a very rare 60 degrees in January kind of day that we rarely get here in Ohio. The girls loved being able to trade in their snow boots for sandals for the day.
It may just be that I have 2 little girls, but in my world ruffles and bows make everything better. Abby loves that this is a simple pullover dress that she can put on herself.

Anyone else have a 3 year old who gets mad if she has to ask for help with anything?
This last picture I just threw in for fun. I asked Abby to show me her pretty smile and this is what I got. We had to run to the gazebo in town for pics because even though it was a nice warm day, it was pouring rain. :(

  1. This is adorable! The collar and sleeves are like the dresses my mom made my sister and I when we were young. We had matching ones that were yellow w/ daisies on them. She also made a white eyelet dress for my sister's Confirmation, for when she was 14. So cute! I'll have to check out the site that has the cute patterns. Thanks for sharing! P.S. Please take off the spam check. You'll get more comments if you do. Thanks.
