My first *This Is Me* post

While Wearing Heels
I decided to join in on the This Is Me series over at While Wearing Heels. So many times Mom's (me included) take a million and one pictures of our family and never get in front of the camera ourselves.
This month challenge was a self portrait. Since I had brain surgery last month I have found it that much harder to put myself in from of the camera. I decided that the easiest way to get out from behind the camera was to include one of my awesome girls.
So....here it is. Sleeping little one and all. :)

  1. Erin, I am really touched that you joined my challenge. I am also proud of you for getting in front of the camera. I know how much you went through last year and it must be such a relief to have it all behind you and start 2013 healthy. I love this picture. What a sweet moment, snuggled up with your daughter. The expression on your face is evokes a ton of emotion. A very sweet portrait, so simple but so meaningful. Thanks for participating!

    1. Thanks for challenging all of us to do something I probably wouldn't have done without the extra shove. :)

  2. This sounds like a good journey to follow. I need to do the same. I'm proud and in awe of you taking a picture of yourself while in recovery. Remember your hair will come back and cover the scars. Hopefully the inside scars don't take too long. :) God Bless you and your family.

    1. Thank you. It's been just under 2 months and I'm surprised at how fast it is growing.
