I recently had the opportunity to review a peasant romper pattern by Whimsy Couture. It is super cute and great for fall. I love that there were so many options to customize it is the arms and legs and even the waist. When I saw the pattern I imediately thought of this awesome retro looking floral knit I had in my stash that I picked up for $2 a yard from the clearance section of Joann.
I went totally 70's with my pattern options, but there are so many different looks you could make. I learned a while ago that you can completely change the look of a pattern just by changing the fabric.
Since the waist is half elastic and half ties it really easy to get on and off. The neckline is elastic as well.
I found this raspberry color knit for the coordinating leg ruffle and waist detail. Since I was going for a retro look I cut a strip of it to wrap around her head for the photo shoot. I LOVE how the look turned out.
Here's my Abby being a ham while we were taking photos in the rain.
If you look in the background Maddie is having a very Where's Waldo moment doing laps up and down the sidewalk in her school uniform.
