Sydney Pinafore Pattern

The adorable Hayley over at Welcome to the Mouse House created this adorable Pinafore Pattern and I was super excited to have the opportunity to pattern test it before it went live. The best part is that the pattern is FREE! Isn't that awesome?  The pattern is available in sizes 12-24 months, 2t, 3t, and 4t. My littlest one is sporting the size 4T.

I went through my fabric stash and tried to find one that had a truly vintage feel to it. This Pinafore just screams vintage to me. I think I accomplished it. Abby seems to like it she asked, "Why are there kids playing on my dress."

The pattern is really easy to follow. I wouldn't say that it's a starter pattern, but it is definitely something a beginner could sew. That is unless you are unable to follow directions like me. I made the straps too close together in the back because apparently I can't read. I'm blaming the 11pm sewing session and I'm sticking with that story.

The rest are what happens when you tell an ornery 3 year old to smile pretty for Mommy. I figured I would be honest and let you see that most of the time the sweetly posed little girls in my pictures are completely by accident.
